Bethel Anointing (Seeking God in brokenness)

The Devil Is a Liar.
Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope everyone had a blessed weekend. Something that has been on my heart today is that nothing truthful comes from the enemy. All Satan does is lie. "for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies." - John 8:44. The enemy doesn't want us to have peace so he tries to consume us with lies, or he wants us to have peace with doing something wrong so he clouds our vision with more lies. Either way the enemy is constantly lying. "You're not good enough, you've already gone to far and messed up to much for God to forgive you, remember those sins you used to do, just do it one more time, don't pray for that person they will think you're weird, you're depressed, addicted, defeated." These are just some of the things that the enemy throws at us to try and block our hearts from receiving the truth from Jesus. "You don't have to be good enough because I am you're good enough and sufficient for you in everything you do, you can never go to far to receive my forgiveness, those sins you used to do are washed away. I have separated them from you and I remember them no more, pray for that person the Holy Spirit will do the rest, you are victorious, free, forgiven, loved, and healed in my Name." These are some of the truths that pour out from the heart of Jesus and the enemy does not want us to tap into them. Why? Because we become dangerous to the kingdom of darkness when we realize that we are blood washed, set free, children of God, anointed to bring down strongholds and carry the love of Jesus throughout the earth. The devil trembles at that truth and he will do everything he can to make us believe that it is not the truth. You see when you become a follower of Jesus and realize that you are forgiven, loved, and filled with the power of God you become a target. "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Ephesians 6:12). I know it can sound kind of scary and intimidating "Why would I want to be a follower of Jesus if I instantly become a target that evil comes for?" That's another lie of the enemy. He wants you to think he has the power. The truth is when we become followers of Jesus we do become targets but we also gain authority over the enemy. Satan was defeated the day Jesus died for our sins and then raised from the dead to show that death has been defeated. The truth is Satan has absolutely no authority and no victory. Putting on the armor of God is the only way to shut down the enemy. Pressing into Jesus even when we don't feel like it, reading the Word even when we aren't in the mood, and praying in the Spirit on all occasions sets our spirit in alignment with God and out of alignment with the enemy. He only has what we give him. So if we give him our minds he has our minds. Let's set it in our hearts today that the enemy is defeated, the anointing of God is on our lives, no weapon forged against us shall prosper, and as we take up the shield of faith Satan has to submit to the power of God. Lay hands on yourself and declare that your mind belongs to Jesus, peace is yours, victory is yours, and Satan has to flee because he can no longer have hold in your life.
We all have struggles and go through seasons where we feel as if we are under constant attack. I have days and even weeks sometimes where I feel like that. My encouragement is this, make the Holy Spirit your best friend and closest confidant, ask him to pray through you (Acts 2:4), worship Jesus and press into His presence, and remember that everything God says is truth and everything the devil says is a lie. Read His word and I promise that He will cover your heart and life. Love you guys and praying for everyone that reads this truth of Jesus. - Sofia

Fasting, Prayer, Fashion
Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope all of you have had a blessed week so far! It has been so long since I last posted about fashion and faith and I'm having withdrawals. I've been so busy over this winter break. Working, spending time with family and friends, and now going on day two of my second semester of college. It's been crazy but now I finally have some time to sit down and write. It's a new year and I truly do believe that God is going to show up in my life like never before. Last year He baptized me in His spirit and set me on fire for ministry and souls. I am so excited to see what He has in store for this year, I know it's going to be beyond anything I could ever imagine. One thing that's been really cool is starting off this year with a 21 day fast with my church. It's just a meat and sweets fast so it hasn't been extremely challenging for me because I'm already a vegetarian and I'm not huge on sweets but it has been very rewarding. The member of the congregation were given devotion booklets by the church called My Sacred Season, this is the year of God's presence and each day there is a devotion for us to read, study, and start our day off seeking God's face and presence. I believe that this year is going to explode with God's presence like never before and I'm so excited to be on one accord with my church and take this first month of the year to pray and seek God so that the rest of the year is filled with signs and wonders. Jesus said that "And he said unto them, This kind can only come forth by nothing, but prayer and fasting." - Mark 9:29. He was talking about the evil spirit that he had just cast out of a boy that the disciples couldn't cast out. Prayer and fasting is so important, it brings about miracles and I believe that what we sow right now is going to reap through the rest of the year. I'm so expectant for God to move and I can't wait to see what He does in my church (even though I will be away for school), my dorm room, my household, and for those I've been praying for. I want to encourage you guys to seek God's face. It's not always easy especially when we have things we want to so desperately hold onto that God is saying to let go of, but know that only good comes out of seeking His face and that He rewards those who elegantly seek Him. He has a purpose and special anointing for each of us. Hold onto the truth that you are His beloved. Love you guys!

So like I said it's been a while since I've made a fashion post. Now I am sitting in rainy and freezing Virginia wishing I could go back to sunny Florida so I could wear this again. I got the top from one of my best friends and the skirt at target. I LOVE sunflowers so this top is one of my favorites. I wanted to wear it to church and dress it up so instead of pairing it with jeans I wore it with this burgundy pleated skirt. At first I didn't know how I would like putting together the pleats and color with the sunflower top but I ended up loving how it looked. I am also in love with this skirt, the modest length is perfect and I love the color and high waist fit. I can't wait to be out of the cold so I can wear it again!
