Hey guys! I have been so busy lately With school starting back and my teachers already giving me tons of homework, I haven't had time to blog. But now finally I have a few minutes. I hope everyone had a great Easter, mine was amazing, the fire I have in my heart for Christ was ignited to an even larger flame on Easter at Church and it has affected me tremendously. This morning I woke up deciding to not be upset and annoyed that I had to go to school and instead decided to be happy that I have another day to love God with all of my heart, follow Christ, and share his love through my life and actions. Let me tell you, putting myself in this mindset had a great impact on my day. My ears were so attentive to the Lord's voice today, and I felt so led by the Holy Spirit in so many different situations. The greatest situation was what to do next in talking about God's word on Fashionably Faithful. In just a few minutes God gave me this great idea to start a series called "Being on Fire for Christ in a world that only wants you to be warm." I am so excited to start this series on Fashionably Faithful! It's going to be about how we need to stop sugar coating the word of God, and not taking it literally but that we need to start living for Christ fully and taking the word of God seriously and literally. Over the past week God has really been changing my heart and helping to walk in step with the Spirit and grow closer to him, this has caused me to yearn for God and his word in ways that I can't even describe. This passion inside of me has caused me to want to be real with Christ and share the realness and reality of the Bible. I pray that this series does great things for everyone who reads it and also helps me to draw nearer to Christ. So stay tuned because this series is coming extremely soon! I hope you enjoy reading it a much as I enjoy God writing it through me.
Love,
Sofia

Happy Good Friday guys!!! Today is such a special day, Jesus died for us, we are forgiven. Don't forget what was done for you on that cross, and how great God's love is for us for offering his only son as a sacrifice for our sins.
Today I want to talk about heaven. I've recently been reading Crazy Love by Francis Chan, I've previously blogged about it. That book is amazing, and I am so glad God put it in my hands. It is bringing me conviction, but yet humbling me and bringing me closer to God and the life he has called us to live. I was reading these passages last night and it really gave me a heavy heart
"Lukewarm People think about life on earth much more often than eternity in heaven. Daily life is mostly focused on today's to-do list, this week's schedule, and next month's vacation. Rarely, if ever, do they intently consider the life to come. Regarding this, C.S. Lewis writes, "If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were precisely those who thought most of the next. It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this."
"A person who is obsessed (with Jesus) thinks about heaven frequently. Obsessed people orient their lives around eternity; they are not fixed only on what is here in front of them."
When I read this I felt so sad. I never really find myself thinking about heaven. I find myself always so consumed in what's going on right now. What am I doing tomorrow, Where am I going to college, what do I have to do today? I know the bible tells us to not be so consumed with things on Earth but to be consumed with the things were going to receive in heaven, but very rarely do I find myself ever taking this to heart. So last night I decided it was time to actually take this to heart, and I am so glad I did. I closed my book and my bible and just thought of heaven. I thought of what it would be like to come face to face with Jesus Christ, what it would be like to be in the presence of God, worshiping him, and what it would be like to be in a perfect place where there is no pain, no evil, but joy, happiness, love and peace. I began to find myself in awe. Coming face to face with Christ? Thinking about that just gives me goosebumps and I can't help but let a tear or two slip. Heaven is real, heaven is the finish line, when were done with this life it's there waiting for us if we have received it. It last forever and doesn't perish or fade like our life's hear. It only makes sense to always think about it. I am so glad that the Lord brought this to my attention and gave me conviction about it. I was really missing out on a lot of joy and amazement by being so consumed with right now and not thinking of what God has promised us. I now know that thinking about the life I have to come is so important and it makes me even more eager to live a good life hear so I can have an even better one with Jesus in paradise. I hope you guys can take something from this today and just take a minute to think about what living in heaven is going to be like, and that we shouldn't worry and consume ourselves so much with this life but with the great, beautiful life that's to come.
"Think about the things of Heaven. Not the things of Earth. Col. 3:2

Hey guys! Today has been a pretty good day, I've been sick for the past few days and have just started feeling better! I was finally able to go out and take pictures of my new Easter dress! I got it this past weekend at Marshall's for $25 to wear to a debutante ball and loved it so much that I decided it would have to be my Easter dress.

| I love the back of this dress. The lace back and the olive color tie causes the back to be just as cute and put together as the front. |

Greatest Love Story
God, the creator of all things, doesn't need us at all. He can do all things by himself, but for some reason he wants us, for some reason we are considered "precious and honored in his sight" (Isaiah 43:4). The only thing we can offer to God are our hearts, which are full of sin and deceit. But somehow he loves us so much that he sent Jesus to die for us, so that his truth can be relieved, our sins can be forgiven, and we can have everlasting life. Jesus knew that we would mess up and sin daily, but he still was beaten, whipped, spat on, and nailed to the cross, so the sin we commit won't be held against us, and so that we can have a relationship with him. God's love for us is everlasting and never failing.
In today's world when you hear the phrase love story, you think of a boy and girl who run into each others paths and then bam, fall in love. You think of dating, kissing, holding hands, nice gifts, someone to talk to, someone who understands. As much as I love sappy chick flick movies that consists of all these things, not one of those movies can compare to the greatest love story of all time. God giving us his only son to die for all people. This whole week Consists of the days leading up to Jesus' death. Sunday was Palm Sunday, this Friday is Good Friday, and then Sunday is Easter. All of these days are so important because they're apart of this epic love story. On Sunday in my youth group we watched The Passion of The Christ. It is one of the best movies I have ever seen. All I could do was cry and sit in awe of how powerful and beautiful God's love for us is. Seeing what Jesus went through for us is such a humbling experience. I honestly fell in love with him all over again while watching that movie. I don't have a boyfriend, and I'm hoping and praying that when I do have a boyfriend he will be the only boyfriend I ever have and will later become my husband ( I don't like the whole dating game, it's to much time and energy wasted on someone you won't be with forever). But I do have a love story and it is the greatest, most beautiful, most crazy, radical, indescribable love story to ever exist. Remember that it's not just my love story, but everyone's, and I hope that as you go through this week and your life you remember what was done for you on the cross, and that God's love is the greatest love there is.
Love,
Sofia
