Praise Him in The Storm

Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, [though] the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold and there are no cattle in the stalls,Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the [victorious] God of my salvation! The Lord God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]!         Habakkuk 3:17-19 (AMP)

I love this bible verse. I was flipping through my bible when I came across the book of Habakkuk. I had never read it before, it only has three chapters and I just always skipped over it. But I felt lead to read it so I did, and that's when I came across this awesome message. Life is hard. It is full with trials, suffering, stress, anxiety, confusion, failure, and so much more. But what I find so compelling about these verses is this, even though nothing seems to be going right, the crops aren't producing fruit, flowers won't blossom, products keep failing, and there is no cattle, this person still praises God. He still rejoices in the Lord even though everything is going wrong! Not only that but he then goes on to say that God is his strength, bravery and brings spiritual growth out of suffering and hardships. When we are faced with difficult times in life like being stressed out over school or money, being hurt or rejected by a family member or someone you love, losing someone close to you, or going through a hard season in your life like depression or failure. We tend to be angry during these times and confused at why God is allowing this to happen to us. But do we ever think that God is allowing these things to happen so that we can become closer to Him. So that we can grow spiritually.  In this verse it says that God "will make me walk (not to stand still in terror, but to walk) and make spiritual progress upon my high places (of trouble, suffering, or responsibility)". God does not leave you hanging, if he brings you to something He is going to give you everything you need in order to walk through it. What an awesome promise that is! To know that whatever comes my way I have a God who is able to carry me through. And the most important thing is to praise God and rejoice in Him while going through hard seasons in life. By doing this you are bringing Him the praise He deserves and showing that you trust Him and know that He is causing everything to work together for your good(Romans 8:28). So today's message is basically this. To know that when life gets crazy or hard that it is still so important to praise God through the storm, and that you don't have to do it alone but that He is there offering strength, love, and spiritual growth and abundance in Him. Rejoice in God today no matter where you are in your life! He is so worthy of our praise.

Thrift Store Find

The buttons are so cute! I love the way they look against the flowers and stripes!

Hey guys! So last week I went thrift shopping with some friends and found this amazing sweater for 1 dollar!! I couldn't believe it, it looks like it's brand new and it's so cute. It's the perfect fit and I love the design! Thrift stores are amazing I seriously always find the best things there! I paired the top with jeans, but then I latter decided I liked the way they looked with the cargo pants better. I know I've already blogged about these pants but I'm obsessed, cargo pants are my favorite clothing item in my closet. The shoes I'm wearing are also from the thrift store and they were only two dollars! My advice to you: GO TO THE THRIFT STORE.   You can find everything from clothes, to books, to shoes, to jewelry  for such great prices. I will be thrift shopping a lot this summer. I hope you enjoy today's outfit as much as I do.

Love,
 Soifa.

Daily Find

Hey guys! So today's daily find is a beautiful maxi dress worn by my best friend Savannah! I love this dress (I was with her when she picked it out). The colors and material are gorgeous and remind me of Summer. One unique thing about this dress are the slits on each side. It's different and that's why I love it! It makes the dress have personality and it gives it a more exotic look. It's also really flattering, it cinches the waist and  isn't to loose or to tight. I think Savannah pulled this dress off perfectly! Wearing a dress like this is so simple and really easy to style. You don't need to much or any jewelry because of the loud print and sandals and a simple hairdo are all it takes to make it complete. I want one now, maybe I'll just borrow hers :)   Anyways I hope you guys enjoyed today's daily find as much as I do!

                                                            Love,
                                                                 Sofia

Hey guys! Wow so it's been a while since I've last posted. I have been more busy than I have the whole school year! But there's good news, school ends this Wednesday! So I will finally be free to blog whenever I want, which I'm really excited for, I can't wait to blog about summer fashion and all of the adventures I go on. Anyways I'm extremely excited for summer for two reasons,

1) I can not wait to start wearing maxi skirts and sandals!! These are going to be my favorite summer trends I'm obsessed!!

2) I am so excited to see what God has in store for me this Summer! My family is moving into a bigger and better house, I'm starting my first job, and going on a Missions Trip to Mexico!! God has blessed me with great things, my last summer wasn't so great it was a huge time of heartbreak and spiritual growth, but God is bringing so many beautiful things into my life and I can't believe that I have so many great things in store for me this Summer! I love this verse because it just shows God's great promise to us all and how much he cares about us and loves us! God is so good, and I'm so thankful that no matter what I might be facing I know that He has plans for my life bigger and better than anything I could possibly imagine.
