Glory Sunday's

Happy Sunday everyone!! I hope you all have been having a refreshing weekend. This weekend has definitely been eventful. Spring break has begun!! Me and my lovely roommate/best friend made the 3 hour treck from Liberty to DC Friday evening and having been relaxing and preparing for our week of adventure in the Nations Capital ever since. Today we visited Awakening Community Church/Prayer Furnace and it was AMAZING. I love traveling to different churches, meeting new people, and experiencing the manifest glory of God right here. We saw the kingdom of God become present in our very midst in church today and it was so awesome. I love when I go to church and people are dancing, jumping, singing, falling out under His glory, and just loving on Jesus. Both Katarina and I had such a joyful time and fell in love with this body of Christ. The kingdom of God is not a matter of talk, but power! I can't wait to come back!
Since the weather was so beautiful and our outfits were picture worthy we decided to have a mini photoshoot.  I am wearing a Forever 21 cable knit sweater (I'm obsessed), an added waist belt, flower print dress, tights, and booties.
Kat is wearing a Forever 21 dress (we're twins) and cute knee boots. I love dressing up and these outfits definitely express our individuality. Kat is a boho hippie and I'm super girly. I love how fashion can so much about a person! Hope you guys have a great week full of God's glory and presence and tons of adventure! - Sofia

Dresses and Blessings.

Happy Sunday everyone. I hope you all have had a blessed day. Today I am so thankful that God remains the same even through the pain we experience in life. His love is overwhelmingly amazing. This morning I was watching Apostle Guillermo Maldonado from King Jesus Ministry preach (he is an amazing man of God and that ministry is on fire with God's supernatural power it's amazing I love, love, love, that church!) and He said something that I needed a great reminder of "let the love of God flow in your hearts, let it wash away impurities, let His love embrace you." It was awesome to hear because I think so many times we get caught up in other things and forget simply to acknowledge and be embraced by the amazing pure love of God. His love stays the same no matter the situation and I am so thankful for that. Jude 1:21 says "Keep yourselves in God's love." As we get ready to enter into another week lets take this verse to heart and remember to constantly seek Jesus, fellowship with Him, and allow the love of God to wash over us daily. It's amazing the God of the universe has a love for us greater than anything in the world.

Today's outfit was super comfortable and casual. I love that I can wear a dress and make it comfortable, movable, and super cute. I've had this dress for years and it's a little to big so I paired it with a cardigan and waist belt. I love the airy feel of the dress because it's so hot in Florida and the flower print on the fabric is so pretty! I'm not a huge fan of brown and black together but I loved the way this looked so I couldn't resit. I wore these new sandals I got from Target (only $9!!) they're super comfortable and I love the classy  gladiator look they have. Hope you all enjoyed today's post! Love you guys! Have a blessed week.

Sunday Style

Hey everyone! Happy Sunday! I hope everyone has had a good week so far. My week has been extremely eventful and full of blessings. First I spent 4 days at Student Leadership University which was a amazing experience. I learned so much about what it means to be a servant of Christ and a leader of people (and I got to ride awesome roller coasters).  Then on Friday I turned 18! Yay! I think the coolest thing about turning 18 is looking at my life and being brought to tears because of how miraculous Jesus is and the amazing things He has done in my 18 years. All week I've had this scripture on my heart "Do not I fill heaven and earth?" declares the LORD. - Jeremiah 23:24. God is able to do more than we can imagine He is the giver of life and when we ask Him to fill us He does. God showed me this verse at the beginning of the week to show me how amazing He is and that the things I was getting ready to be experiencing were all by His power and grace. Which brings me to church today! I visited one of my best friends church today. I love visiting her church and today was so special. It was the last day of VBS for the kids and they put on skits and music for the whole church. The coolest thing though was seeing little kids passionately worship God and be filled with the Holy Spirit. It's amazing and breathtaking and Jesus is so awesome. So of course being at church with my friend we had to take some outfit pictures! Today I wore a dress I got from a website called clothingunder10.com it was $9.99! I know amazing. It's my favorite color and I loved the pleated skirt and loose back. It's my new favorite dress!  LaShonda wore a beautiful dress that she got at the thrift store!!! The cream colors, flower print, and waist belt are perfect. And she paired it with hot pink shoes that made the whole outfit pop.  I hope today's post inspires you to love Jesus and classy dressing!

Wednesday, June 11, 2014

Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday. I hope everyone has had a good week so far. I posted my first vlog a few days ago and it was really exciting. The response was great and I can't wait to do more! So stay tuned for those :) Today's post is about my outfit that I wore on this past Sunday. I got this skirt from Target a few weeks ago for $8!!! I was so excited about that. I love flower print and the way these bright flowers looked against the white background of the skirts is perfect! I also love the high waist fit. High wasted skirts are my favorite. I paired it with a lace top that I've had for years and nude wedges. I didn't really dress it up with jewelry. I thought that the skirt was a statement enough and didn't really need anything extra. The skirt was also super comfortable I'll definitely have to invest in more just like it. If you wanted to dress up a skirt even more that's just like this one you could wear a brighter shirt that's a solid color that would bring out the colors of the flower seven more.

Thrift Store Find

The buttons are so cute! I love the way they look against the flowers and stripes!

Hey guys! So last week I went thrift shopping with some friends and found this amazing sweater for 1 dollar!! I couldn't believe it, it looks like it's brand new and it's so cute. It's the perfect fit and I love the design! Thrift stores are amazing I seriously always find the best things there! I paired the top with jeans, but then I latter decided I liked the way they looked with the cargo pants better. I know I've already blogged about these pants but I'm obsessed, cargo pants are my favorite clothing item in my closet. The shoes I'm wearing are also from the thrift store and they were only two dollars! My advice to you: GO TO THE THRIFT STORE.   You can find everything from clothes, to books, to shoes, to jewelry  for such great prices. I will be thrift shopping a lot this summer. I hope you enjoy today's outfit as much as I do.

Love,
 Soifa.
